iOS 16.0.3 releasing soon to fix iPhone 14 series bugs and problems

The tech giant unveiled the iPhone 14 series last month (September 2022). The launch included the vanilla iPhone 14 series, the iPhone 14 Plus, the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Following up on the launch, the users have reported several issues since the day the devices shipped. The messy iOS 16 is the primary reason for the bugs or problems despite its exciting features, which include new lock screen customizations, enhanced home screen, new functionalities on the iMessage application, a new Home app, refined widgets, applications of widgets on the lock screen and many more.

Some of the iOS 16-related issues we have already discussed, such as the activation issue, flickering screen with low brightness, rapid battery drain, connectivity issue, stuttering in some applications, display granting issue, display black screen and white screen, green lines appearing, frequent call and signal drops, carplay issue, rear camera creating mechanical noises, etc. However, Apple has released iOS 16.0.1 and iOS 16.0.2 to all the iOS 16 running devices, especially the iPhone 14 series. These have fixed many of the above and surrounding issues like excessive copy and paste permission prompts, models, freezing after data transfer from another iPhone, the most irritating camera shaking and vibrating, creating mechanical noises, and many more.

Apart from the fix obtained from the tech giant, there are still many issues with the iOS 16 running devices. The carplay running on low volume, especially with the iPhone 14 Pro, flickering screen issue when brightness is low, text messages crashing the application, and rapid battery drain are yet to be fixed.

iOS 16.0.3 to fix some of the significant ongoing issues with the iPhone 14 series devices

According to MacRumors, Apple is working on an update, probably the iOS 16.0.3, which will fix the above issues and the additional problems on the Apple devices running on the iOS 16 version. The grievance about the existence of iOS 16.0.3 has been found on MacRumors analytics logs, which have been trustworthy for a long time.

iOS 16.0.3 release date

  • The second week of October 2022 (Expected).

We are not sure when the update will be officially released, but it is expected that we can get the iOS 16.0.3 update by this week or the coming week, which will fix the remaining minor issues.

Apple is also working on a major update, namely, iOS 16.1, a successor of iOS 16.0, which will bring the features that were announced during the launch event of the iPhone 14 series. The update is expected to arrive by the end of the month. The features include live activities in the third-party applications, an exclusive part for US people, i.e., Clean Energy Charging (comes into action when power grids are less constrained and more clean energy capacity is available), support for Apple Fitness+ without the Apple Watch, a battery percentage indicator (for those who don’t have), etc. and many more.

It is a good thing for Apple that the company releases a fix to an issue as early as possible if it gets alerted by the respective users. We can see this from its past update frequency, where it has provided updates within weeks to ensure the smooth performance of the device.

To the affected iPhone 14 lineup users suffering from bugs or issues, kindly wait for the official release of iOS 16.0.3, which, according to Apple, will fix the problems you are going through. Also, have patience for the anticipated iOS version 16.1, arriving by the end of this month.
