iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max Camera Issues: Shaking and Vibrating

Not even a couple of weeks have passed since the tech giant unveiled its new iPhone 14 series, including the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max, along with the new Apple Watch 8 series and the new Apple Watch SE and the new inclusion of the Apple Watch Ultra.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro seems to be hugely different regarding an upgrade from its predecessor. The new A16 Bionic Chipset is provided in the Pro series and the standard A15 Bionic Chipset (With enhanced GPU) in the regular 14 series. Unfortunately, the typical iPhone 14 resembles the 2021s iPhone 13.

The iPhone 14 series has numerous features like Always On Display and 2000 nits peak brightness. Also, the pill-shaped notch comes with a bizarre Dynamic Island feature, which most people like. For the first time, the iPhone Pro family comes with the latest 48MP rear camera unit with a quad-pixel sensor. It uses ProRAW to capture full 48MP photos. The quad-pixel sensor offers excellent low-light capture. The ultra-wide camera provides a 12MP resolution with an aperture of f/2.2. It has a 12MP telephoto unit with PDAF, OIS, and 3x optical zoom.

Apple has also unveiled its new iOS 16 with the iPhone 14 series announced on September 12. With it, a lot of users are facing more issues, such as iPhone 14 and 14 Pro having activation issues, updates causing flickering screen issues, massive battery drainage,

The news for the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max is that they are facing the camera rattling or shaking and mechanical vibration noises from the camera.

According to Luke Miani on Twitter, he shared evidence of some camera issues with the Pro variants of the series. As per the video, the problem is seen with the other third-party applications rather than the stock camera application. The stock camera application is not affected.

Whenever a user opens TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, or any other third-party application, they face a massive disturbance to the camera, resulting in impaired performance. The camera faces huge mechanical noise when opened on third-party applications. Firstly, some users blamed Snapchat for having a terrible implementation of the software, but now they have noticed it’s happening to many users. Users say it’s because of the Second Generation – “Optical Image Stabilization,” which has broken inside and makes such mechanical noises. Also, while taking any snap, the camera shakes or rattles like hell, making it impossible to take sharp pictures.

Apple said, “We are aware of the issue, and the fix for the same is happening soon.” Hopefully, it will be iOS 16.0.2 which will fix the issue. Apple stated, “A fix for the camera shaking/ Vibration issue is coming with a software update next week.”

The software update will probably be iOS 16.0.2.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the update will fix the following problems:

  • Excessive copy and paste permission prompts.
  • iPhone 14 Pro/Max models freeze after data transfer from another iPhone.
  • Camera Shaking issue.
  • Mechanical vibration issue.

The users facing the camera shaking when on third-party applications and the vibration issues must reach out to the update version 16.0.2, which will be released next week and will resolve the issue, according to Apple.
