We all know how the rumors and leaks flow from a particular series launched to the upcoming smartphones in the series. The same principle applies to the previous iPhone 15 series and the upcoming iPhone 16 series. The forthcoming model leaks have already started since the fall of 2023 and are continuing to peak off as the launch approaches.
A new leaked iPhone 16 series dummy unit hints at the physical structure, size, and more. It explicitly shows the button placements, new additions, and the smartphone size. Stay connected, as we will discuss the topic in detail here.
The case manufacturers generally evolve the dummy units before smartphones officially enter the market. The respective leak comes from the Chinese social media platform — Weibo and the images from the Baolin Video. As per them, the following are the changes compared to the previous generations:
1. Action Button on the complete iPhone 16 series
The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max had removed the Ring/Silent switch and replaced it with the Action button. However, the standard models didn’t get it. All variants will have the Action button this time, and the mute switch is permanently destroyed here. To those unaware, this was leaked previously, but with this, it becomes more prominent and accurate.
2. iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max Screen Sizes
The screen and physical sizes have also increased slightly. It supports the earlier claim that the iPhone 16 Pro is 6.3 inches and the iPhone 16 Pro Max is 6.9 inches from the previous 6.1 and 6.7 inches display, respectively. We must digest that smartphone sizes are increasing from huge to humongous.
It is important to note that the respective 6.3 and 6.9-inch screen sizes are not due entirely to the physical structure increment. Yes, there is a slight increment in the actual size as well. However, the company is reducing the bezels to increase the display size and, hence, such a form factor.
3. New Capture Button
The leaked phone details also showcase some additional button placements. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro have new photography buttons that do not look tactical and clicky. However, it can be termed as a “Capture Button”.
4. New iPhone 16 rear design
In addition to this, the iPhone 16 follows a new camera module design. It is a vertical pill-shaped two-camera placement found on iPhones 11 and 12.
You might have seen some leaks have already arrived, like the Action button on all models, an increased smartphone screen size, etc. And every incoming leak keeps confirming if it is going to happen. However, it is entirely dependent on Apple what and how to implement their smartphones. So, always take the rumors with a pinch of salt and let the launch date approach first.
