Upcoming Phones September 2023: iPhone 15, Honor 90, Xiaomi 13T, Moto G54, OnePlus Open

The previous month (August) was filled with some good smartphone launches, and it appears that September will carry forward the same legacy. There are some phone launches scheduled for the month.

The major smartphone industry players, like Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, etc., are ready to launch their devices in the upcoming month. As always, we will see launches ranging from budget, midrange, premium, and flagship devices. Nearly every brand will launch a smartphone (there can be more than one) to increase their market share as the festivals are approaching.

The significant contribution will be by the Chinese OEMs, and the remaining are the Tech Giants from America and South Korea. Please read the article until the end, as we will discuss some vital smartphone launches in September 2023.

Upcoming Smartphones for September 2023:

1. iPhone 15 series:

Starting with the most crucial launch for the month, the iPhone 15 series is scheduled to launch on September 12. It will include the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max (or Ultra). The “ultra” naming is still unknown and can likely be revealed during the launch event.

The series will have USB Type-C (2.0 speeds) and Dynamic Island. The iPhone 15 Pro variants will include a new action button. The top-of-the-line model may come with a titanium frame and a periscope lens.

2. Samsung W24 and W24 Flip:

The South Korean Tech Giant will likely launch the new foldable devices in their W-series in China. The event will take place on September 15. The series will include the Samsung W24 and Samsung W24 Flip, the successor to the Samsung W23 and Samsung W23 Flip, respectively.

Nonetheless, the devices are expected to be a rebranded version of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, respectively. However, there could be some design element changes to differentiate it from the Z-series models.

3. Honor 90:

Honor is coming back to India with its first product, Honor 90. The device will likely launch on September 21. It is available in various markets, excluding India for now, but the Indian launch is not too far away from now as well.

The device is expected to have a curved 120Hz OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. It boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, a 200MP primary camera, and a 5000mAh battery clubbed with 66W fast charging.

4. Honor Foldable:

In China, Honor has placed an event on September 13 to unveil a new foldable smartphone. For now, the moniker remains unknown. The leaks speculate that it can be Honor Magic Vs 2 or Honor Magic V2 Lite. As per the rumors, the former can be a flagship foldable, and the latter can be an affordable foldable smartphone for the year.

5. realme Narzo 60x and realme c51:

After the regular Narzo 60 series launch, realme will likely launch Narzo 60x in India on September 12. As the realme Narzo 60 and Narzo 60 Pro was the rebranded version of realme 11 Pro and 11 Pro Plus, we expect the Narzo 60x to be a new realme 11x. So, the device can come with a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, a 6.74-inch FHD+ IPS LCD 120Hz display, and a 5000mAh battery with 33W charging.

Regarding the realme C51, the smartphone is confirmed to launch on September 4 in India. However, it has already been unveiled in other Asian markets. It can carry a 50MP primary camera, a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, and will be available in a beautiful blue color.

6. Xiaomi 13T series:

After a long time, Xiaomi will likely launch its Xiaomi 13T series somewhere in September. The series will comprise the regular Xiaomi 13T and the 13T Pro. The standard variant will have a comparatively less powerful chipset and a downgraded camera than the predecessor. On the other hand, the Pro variant will likely have a Leica-powered camera set-up and will be a twisted version of the Redmi K60 Ultra. They are expected to start from £549 and £699, respectively.

7. Tecno Phantom V Flip:

After the Tecno Phantom V Fold, the company will likely launch its Phantom V Flip in September. The device will be the brand’s first flippable smartphone. The foldable smartphone will have a Dimensity 8050 chipset. It will have a 1.32-inch circular cover screen inside the camera ring and a 6.9-inch FHD+ inner vertical display. The device will have a 64MP + 13MP rear camera and a 32MP front camera. It will also have a 4000mAh battery.

8. Motorola Edge 40 Neo and Edge 2023:

The Moto Edge 40 Neo and Moto Edge 2023 will possibly launch in September. The Edge 40 Neo will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1050 chipset. It will have a 6.55-inch FHD+ 144Hz pOLED display. The device will have a 5000mAh battery with 68W fast charging. On the rear, it will have a 50MP primary camera, a 13MP Ultrawide, and a 32MP selfie camera on the front.

It is expected to cost around £290 in the United Kingdom. Speaking of Edge 2023, it has rebranded Edge 40 for the United States. We don’t have more information about the latter for now.

9. Moto G54:

The Moto G54 will be launched in China and India on September 5 and 6. A MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset will power the device. It will have a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD 120Hz display, a 6000mAh battery, and 30W charging support. The device will have a 50MP OIS camera and start from ₹15,000 for the 8GB + 128GB configuration in India.

10. Oppo A38:

Oppo is known to keep launching offline-centric smartphones, and the A38 is another addition. The device will soon launch in India and will be a 4G smartphone. The device will feature a MediaTek Helio G85 process6.56-inch-inch HD+ 90Hz LCD, IP54 ratings, a 50MP primary camera, and a 5000mAh battery. It will cost around ₹10,000 for a 4GB + 128GB configuration.

11. Vivo V29 Series:

VivoIndia has recently released their V29e in the market, and the upcoming V29 series is expected to soon launch in India. The series will comprise the vanilla V29, V29 Lite, and V29e (already announced). However, we are not sure about the Lite variant launch.

Per the leaks, the regular V29 may come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset, a 6.78-inch 1.5K 120Hz Curved display, a 50MP primary, and a 50MP selfie camera with autofocus. The device will have a 4600mAh battery clubbed with 80W fast charging support.

12. OnePlus Open:

Another foldable smartphone is expected to launch in September: the OnePlus Open. The device was supposed to launch in August but will finally launch this month. It will be the company’s first foldable smartphone and is expected to derive similar specs from the unannounced Oppo Find N3.

The foldable smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a Hasselblad-tuned triple camera set-up, including an Ultrawide and telephoto lens. The inner screen will be a 7.8 Inch 2K 120Hz, and the outer screen will be 6.3 Inch 120Hz. The device will have a 4800mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
