As we all know the Redmi Note 7 hasn’t got updated to Android 10 yet. As we reported earlier, the update may come this month along with MIUI 12 which is scheduled to launch on May 19. The same is the case for Redmi Note 7 Pro. Both the devices came with Android 9 Pie out of the box. The Android 10 will be their first major update.
At the moment Xiaomi is focusing more on beta updates for MIUI 12 and the global launch of the UI. As per a Xiaomi moderator, Redmi Note 7 may get update this month but the opposite is for the Redmi Note 7 Pro. The update for this device is still under development and no official date is mentioned by the company.
For those users who want to experience the update beforehand, there is a piece of good news. These custom ROMs may be new for some users but these are nothing but stock Android with all the Google Pixel related apps. Before you flash your ROMs on Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro make sure you unlocked the bootloader. Also, remember to back up your data and files to be on the safe side before going ahead.
