The Redmi K60 will be the successor to a phone launched in March 2022, the Redmi K50. At its launch, the Redmi K50 had impressive specifications for its price tag. It was a very well-received value-for-money phone, primarily due to the combo of the 120Hz Dolby Vision OLED display and the Mediatek Dimensity 8100, a flagship chip based on TSMC’s 5nm fabrication that brought the power of the Snapdragon 888 in a much cooler SOC that was good with both efficiencies and sustained performance, making this phone a great buy for gamers.
We saw the K series return to India, too, with the Redmi K50i being a fantastic phone for performance-centric users since you got the power of the Dimensity 8100 with a 144Hz refresh rate for just 25,000 INR. The only major downside was the FFS LCD panel, but cost-cutting was probably necessary to reduce.
Redmi K60 Expected Specifications
The Redmi K60 is heavily speculated (via Digitial Chat Station) to come equipped with a 48MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) that enables slightly smoother video recording and faster shutter speeds and helps with photography in low light conditions. We might see the standard 8MP Ultra Wide angle lens and an obligatory 2MP Macro or Depth sensor to fill the spec sheet. A 16MP front camera is expected.
The vanilla Redmi K60 is said to be powered by the successor to the Dimensity 8100 chip, the Dimensity 8200.
A 5500 MAH battery is expected on this phone, with support for up to 67W fast wired charging (the 3C listing also confirms the maximum charging capacity as 67W). Some sketchy rumors say 30W wireless charging, but it is advised to currently take this with a pinch of salt since wireless charging at sub 400$ is more of a niche inclusion that does not make much sense.
MIUI 14, based on Android 13, has not yet been announced. Still, it is expected to be marketed during Xiaomi’s December launch event, so at the moment, it is not confirmed whether this phone will launch with MIUI 14 (Based on Android 13) or MIUI 13.5 (Based on Android 12) out of the box. It could be the first ever Android Phone to pack a Dynamic Island-like feature.
Redmi K60 is said to come with a 2K display with a centre-aligned hole-punch display cutout. The display on the K60 is hypothesized to retain the same 120Hz AMOLED panel with Dolby Vision HDR.
Redmi K60 Release Prediction

Strong rumors on the internet suggest that the Redmi K60 is expected to launch in December. Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its flagship Xiaomi 13 series in December.
There is no word yet about an Indian launch of this phone, but if the announcement for the China launch happens in December, the phone will probably be available for purchase by January 2023.
Redmi might officially start teasing the K60 phone after the announcement of the Dimensity 8200 chipset.
Redmi K60 Price Prediction
- Redmi K60 could be priced at CNY 2399 in China. If Redmi plans to launch the Redmi K60 in India, it could be priced at INR 29,999.
