Xiaomi has not had an excellent reputation lately for providing software updates. Unlike other OEMs such as OPPO, OnePlus, Samsung, and realme, Xiaomi only started rolling out the Android 13 update for its devices in December 2022, with many devices yet to receive the update.
However, things seem to be getting better this time. Xiaomi has announced that it is participating in the beta program for Android 14. This article will track Xiaomi’s Android 14 updates and look at the phones supporting Android 14.
Xiaomi Android 14 Update Tracker
In February 2023, Google released the roadmap for Android 14, where the company said that the final stable version of the Android 14 would be released by August 2023. There have already been two public beta releases and two developer beta releases. Unlike earlier beta versions, Beta 2 is significant because many additional OEMs are a part of it.
This time, Xiaomi is not limiting its beta program to just one device. Four Xiaomi devices in total will be eligible for the Android 14 beta. The Xiaomi 12T, Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi Pad 6 are these devices. Users of these devices can install the beta update on their devices and enjoy the early version of Android 14. The update is currently available for both global and China variants.
Remember that beta versions may still have bugs and issues, as they are not the final stable releases. Xiaomi will closely monitor user feedback during the beta phase to address any identified issues and ensure a smoother user experience when the stable Android 14 update is eventually rolled out.
It is important to note that Xiaomi has not yet released MIUI 15, and the Android 14 beta version is still based on MIUI 14. Stay tuned for more information on Xiaomi’s Android 14 update.
