Poco M2 Pro Android 11 Status

Since Poco M2 Pro was launched recently, so the device came with the pre-installed Android 10 OS. If we check the previous track records, Poco has the habit of giving two major OS upgrades. As the device is an Android 10 smartphone, it will surely get the Android 11 update and may be eligible for Android 12 when it’s out. Poco M2 Pro is a mid-range phone with the latest Qualcomm’s 720G SoC so you can rest assured that it will receive the new Android 11 update. At the moment, the device has the MIUI 11 skin, but in September 2020 you may get the latest Android 10 based MIUI 12 skin. Android 11 based MIUI 12 will be rolled out later to Poco M2 Pro.

Expected Release Date

Google always prioritize their smartphones first when they launch a new OS. So, the Pixel devices will receive the stable Android 11 OS first, then they will slowly spread its OS to other devices. So, don’t expect the update this year. Poco M2 Pro will get the update to Android 11 probably in Q1 2021 which is between January and March.
