5G networks are now the new revolution in Internet technology. All the new flagship phones are adapting this network. Recently, OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro was launched in an online event, and as we all know its a 5G-enabled phone. As of now, it supports 4G on both SIMs or 5G single SIM which means you can’t use 5G in one SIM and 4G or 5G on another SIM together.
Luckily, for those who want to have 5G support for both the SIMs, there will be an update via OTA which will bring along this feature. The update will bring 5G/4G or 5G/5G support. It will allow users to enjoy the 5G network on both the SIMs together. That does not mean you can use 5G mobile data at the same time. Till now 5G is not available globally. Currently, 5G is out in some cities in the US and some other regions. It will take some time for the global spread of 5G.
However, if 5G is available in your area you can enjoy 5G internet once you get your hands on the OnePlus 8 or 8 Pro. Till now, there is no official statement for the release date of the update. But we expect it will take a few months.
