After the OnePlus 5T Oxygen OS 4.7.2 update, OnePlus is all set to launch the Android 8.0 Oreo Beta program for its predecessor OnePlus 5. Recently, OnePlus’s Co-founder Carl Pei announced on his Twitter handle that the OnePlus 5 would soon get Android Oreo Beta, which hints that OnePlus is all set to roll out public beta to the OnePlus 5 users. This should make it up to those OnePlus 5 users who were not happy with the launch of the OnePlus 5T having upgraded specs at the same price. Also, there is only a month’s difference between the launch of the two devices.

To enjoy the benefits of these new updates, users can head to the company’s blog post and download the beta Android 8.0 Oreo build for the OnePlus 5. Additional instructions for preparing the handset and manual flashing can be found on the blog post.
