During the virtual event held by Nothing in March, Carl Pei, the present CEO of Nothing and the former CEO of OnePlus, announced that they would launch a phone under Nothing’s branding. It will be called Nothing Phone 1 and will be released this summer. Nothing has been teasing the Phone 1 since then. The hype for this smartphone is one of the biggest. Almost everyone in the tech community, especially OnePlus fans, looks forward to this phone.
It has been around one and a half months, and still, the launch date of the Nothing Phone 1 is unknown. Nothing has been teasing some of the specs of the phone, though. It is already known that the Nothing Phone 1 will have a Snapdragon processor and a transparent design. Perhaps the processor could be the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.
Additionally, Nothing recently revealed that the Nothing Phone 1 would feature a chin-less design, which hints toward a screen with symmetrical bezels. The phone’s mid-frame will be made of recycled aluminum. Moreover, the phone will run on NothingOS based on Android 12. It is expected to receive three years of major OS updates and four years of security updates.
Nothing Phone 1 Receives IMDA Certification
The Nothing Phone 1’s launch is getting closer. Nothing even confirmed that the next thing they reveal is the launch date. And they will reveal it soon.
Till then, we have some information about the launch date of Nothing Phone 1. The Nothing Phone 1 has been spotted on Singapore’s IMDA certification website.
A well-known tech tipster, Mukul Sharma, aka Stufflistings, shared a tweet in which he confirmed that the Nothing Phone 1 is currently being tested in several Asian countries, including Indonesia, India, and Malaysia. This suggests that the launch of the phone is very close.

We can also see that Nothing Phone 1 has the model number A603. Some basic details, such as 5G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC functionalities, were also revealed. These certifications do not give us a lot of information, generally speaking.
We will get to know the launch date once Nothing announces it officially. However, certain reports suggest the upcoming super-hyped Nothing Phone 1 launch date to be July 21. If not on July 21, we will definitely see the phone by the end of July or this summer, as promised by Carl Pei—CEO of Nothing.
