Intel Core i5-14600K Benchmark Scores Leak Ahead of Launch

We are just a few weeks away from the Intel Innovation 2023 event. We will see Intel unveiling the 14th-generation Intel Core CPUs in this event. These CPUs have been the talk of the town lately.

With the launch approaching, we are also getting leaks and rumors ahead of it regarding these CPUs. And today we have another leak about one of its models.

Intel Core i5-14600K Benchmark Scores

This model falls in the Intel Core 14th Generation CPU lineup’s midrange category. A leaker recently shared the benchmark scores of this CPU. The leak shows that the CPU had been tested with a Z790 motherboard paired with the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card.

Moving on to the Intel Core i5-14600K specifications, the leak aligns with previous rumors of 14 cores. These consist of 6 performance cores (P-cores) and 8 efficiency cores (E-cores), alongside 20 threads. The base clock speed of the CPU is rated at 3.5 GHz, with the boost frequency clocked at 5.3 GHz. This is 200 MHz faster than its predecessor, the Intel Core i5-13600K.

Core i5-14600K benchmark

As for the Thermal Design Power (TDP), we get a rating of 125 Watts, which is the same as the last generation. Under stress, however, we can see the power consumed to be 160W.

Returning to the topic, let us look at the scores of different platforms the leaker shares.

Cinebench 2024

The first benchmark that the leaker shared the scores of is Cinebench 2024. The CPU scores over 1400 points in the multi-core test and about 125 points in the single-core test. For some context, the Core i5-13600K bags about 1300 and 110 points in the same tests, respectively.

Cinebench R23

The Intel Core i5-14600K scores over 25000 points in the multi-core test on the Cinebench R23 platform. Besides that, it scores a little over 2000 points in the single-core test. Its predecessor, the Core i5-13600K, scores about 24000 points in the same multi-core test and just over 2,000 points in the single-core one.

CPU-Z

The next benchmark test that the leaker ran was CPU-Z. The Intel Core i5-14600K bags almost 870 points and 10250 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. On the other hand, its predecessor managed about 820 points and 9850 points in the same tests.

As we can see from these scores, we can expect the Intel Core i5-14600K to perform anywhere between 5% to 10% faster than its predecessor, the Intel Core i5-13600K. As for the cost of the new CPU, we can expect a price tag of around $450 (CAD) or $335 (USD) if we go by recent listings. October 16th is the likely date for the Intel Innovation 2023 event.
