Intel Core i9-14900K i7-14700K i5-14600K When launch

14th Gen Intel Core i9-14900K, i7-14700K, i5-14600K: Launch Date Revealed

Intel is finally going to unveil the successor to their 13th-generation processors. The 13th-generation CPUs were having a significant performance jump than their predecessors. Let’s see what the upcoming chipsets bring, as the launch is pretty close to now.

The company will announce the Raptor Lake Refresh series during the upcoming Innovation 2023 event on September 19 and September 20. Intel is expected to bring several new products during the interval. We can explain some upgrades on Arc GPUs, especially the Arc A580 GPU and ACM-G12 GPU. At the same time, we can expect the next-generation i5, i7, and i9 K & KF series CPUs.

Intel Core i9-14900K, i7-14700K, and i5-14600K

The chipsets will have at least three variants: Intel Core i9-14900K, Intel Core i7-14700K, and Intel Core i5-14600K. Let’s discuss the performance and compare them with the previous generations.

The Intel Core i5-14600K will likely have 14 cores and 20 threads, the Intel Core i7-14700K will have 20 cores and 28 threads, and the top-of-the-line variant will have 24 cores and 32 threads. Among these, the i9 and i7 models will have 8, and the i5 will have 6 performance cores. The i5, i7, and i9 variants will likely have 8, 12, and 16 efficiency cores, respectively.

The upcoming CPUs will likely offer 3% better performance than the predecessors, excluding the i7-14700K model, which is 17% faster. Unfortunately, all the models will possibly have a 15% price hike compared to the 13th Gen equivalent models.

The base core frequency of Core i9-14900K, Core i7-14700K, and Core i5-14600K are 3.2Ghz, 3.4Ghz and 3.5GHz respectively. Similarly, the maximum turbo frequency for performance cores is 5.7GHz, 5.5GHz, and 5.3GHz, respectively, and for efficiency cores, it is 4.4GHz, 4.3GHz, and 4.0GHz, respectively.

Along with the above three chipsets, the company will launch the “KF” variants on the same day. The models will likely comprise Core i9-14900KF, Core i7-14700KF, and Core i5-14600KF. History shows these models will not have graphics support.

All the above six models are unlocked 125W TDP models. However, we are unsure about the locked versions with 65W TDP. Nonetheless, we may see them during CES 2024 next year.

It is important to note that the company will officially sell the chipsets in their scheduled launch event only. Hence, the general consumers can purchase them on the launch date itself. On the same day, we will have the chipsets’ reviews.

Intel Core 14th Gen K and KF Series Release Date

  • The Intel Core i9-14900K, i7-14700K, and i5-14600K, along with their KF variants, will launch on October 17, 2023.

The company will officially unveil its 14th-gen Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs next week. The official dates are leaked with no accurate sources, so take it with a pinch of salt. The upcoming 14th-generation processors will launch on October 17. However, the “ad” embargo is scheduled the day before the launch day, i.e., October 16, which will be helpful for retailers for pre-orders.

That being said, let’s wait for the official announcements next week. We will keep an eye on the latest information and update it here, so make sure to visit for timely updates.
