Galaxy A71 One UI 5 update

When will Galaxy A71 get One UI 5 (Android 13)?

Samsung is currently at the forefront of providing the promised updates to their smartphones. Several high-end flagships and midrange phones have already gotten the latest One UI 5 stable update based on Android 13.

Now, the three-year-old midrange, the Galaxy A71, has started getting the update, too. It is impressive since the update for the device was scheduled for later, which means it is getting the update ahead of its scheduled timeline.

Galaxy A71 Android 13 One UI 5 Update Status

Poland is one of the first regions where users of the Galaxy A71 have received the stable One UI 5-based Android 13 update. Users across the globe can expect to get it soon. It would possibly be before the end of this year that their device gets the update.

Note that the Galaxy A71 was launched in late 2019 and came with Android 10-based One UI 2 out of the box. So, this is most probably the last major software update for the Galaxy A71. After this, it will only be getting security patch updates.

The update is, of course, based on Android 13, as mentioned earlier. It comes with the October 2022 security patch. According to the report, the firmware version of the update is A715FXXU8DVK1. The update packs several new features, customization options, and privacy and security features. All in all, the update brings several significant changes to the device and improves the user experience.

Unfortunately, there is no word regarding the One UI 5 update for Galaxy A71 5G.

How to check for/install the update?

Head to your device’s Settings, then scroll down to Software Update. You will see the Download and Install option in the Software Update section. Make sure your device is connected to a network, then tap on Download and Install.

If you see the text “Your software is up to date, “ you must wait for the update. If you see the update, follow the on-screen instructions to download and install it. Remember that the update size will be significant since it is a major one.

So that is about it; share your experience in the comments when you get the update.
