Honor 7A and Honor 7C Launched in India with Dual Rear Cameras

As promised last week, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched two new smartphones in India. Dubbed the Honor 7A and the Honor 7C, the smartphones are the first ones to launch in the Honor 7 series after the Honor 7X. These budget smartphones were launched earlier in April and March, respectively, in China. They will compete against Xiaomi Redmi 5A, Realme1, and 10 or D. Both smartphones come with Face Unlocking and a rear fingerprint sensor.

The Honor 7C features a 5.99-inch display with a resolution of FHD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) and an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset and Adreno 506 GPU. It is available in two configurations: 3GB RAM + 32GB internal space and 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage. Both have expandable memory options with a micro SD card up to 256GB.

In the optics department, the device sports a dual camera setup consisting of a 13 MP rear primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 2MP while offering an 8 MP front-facing camera with LED flash. It comes with features like Bokeh mode and wide aperture mode. It runs on EMUI 8.0 on top of Android 8.0 Oreo and is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS+ GLONASS, and dual SIM(nano + nano + microSD). It measures 158.3 x 76.7 x 7.8 mm and weighs 164 g. It is available in Black, Blue, and Gold color options. Indian variant consists of Ride mode, single touch access with the fingerprint sensor for Paytm payments.

The Honor 7A features a 5.7-inch 2.5D IPS LCD with a resolution of HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) and an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal specs with expandable memory options with a micro SD card up to 256GB.

It has a dual camera setup on the back with a 13MP + 2MP configuration while offering an 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and a soft selfie light on the front. The cameras come with bokeh mode and beauty mode 4.0. It runs on EMUI 8.0 on top of Android 8.0 Oreo and is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS+ GLONASS, and dual SIM(nano + nano + microSD). It measures 152.4 x 73 x 7.8 mm and weighs 150 g. It has features like audio monitoring and music play for party mode, which lets you connect up to nine devices via Bluetooth. Additionally, it comes with Huawei Histen, which enables you to select different 3D sounds.

As for the pricing, the Honor 7A comes at a price tag of Rs 8,999, while the Honor 7C costs Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,999 for the 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB variants, respectively. The 7A will be exclusively available from Flipkart from May 29, while the 7C variants will be available via Amazon India and later on retail stores from May 31. The company has also tied up with Reliance Jio for some cashback offers. Purchasing the smartphone will give users a cashback of Rs 2,200, and an additional 100GB of data can be available to Honor 7C users, while Honor 7A users get 50GB of data.
