Threads Web Version: Everything We Know So Far

Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta-owned company unveiled the Instagram Threads a month back. The platform offers social connection and competition to the other handles as well. Even though the people’s craze has decreased, the company provides countless updates to refine and polish the software further.

The recent improvements include refinements in the user interface, built-in translations, keeping track of the posts you have liked, organizing your following tab based on your preference, and chronological feed, etc.

The Meta has consistently worked to make Instagram Threads powerful, efficient, and competent to other social networks. The latest rumors suggest that the company will soon launch the web version and advanced search option for the Threads.

Threads Web Version and Advanced Search Option Coming Soon:

Last week, the Instagram head, Adam Mosseri, confirmed that the Threads squad is working on the platform’s web version. Mosseri said on Tuesday, “The team is already working on it.” Mark Zuckerberg assured that the Instagram Threads would soon receive a Web Version of the platform and an Advanced Search option in the app. He further emphasized in the last line that the feature and the web version will be coming “in the next few weeks.”

Threads Web

One can only download Threads through their mobile phones via Google Play Store or App Store. The users now might get one of the most requested features: Web version. It will help them log into their Threads account on a Laptop/PC setup.

We have an indication that suggests that the web version will be available. Users discovered that while using Threads on the web, they saw “Reply buttons.” However, there was no feedback response when they clicked on the buttons. This can be a clear indication that the web version is soon going to come for the users.

Another requested, and essential feature is the Advanced Search option unavailable in the Instagram Threads. The default search option only allows users to search other accounts. It lacks searching for particular posts or words, unlike Instagram. Fortunately, as said by Mark Zuckerberg, the Advanced Search option may be available to use starting from the upcoming update.

However, there is no good news for Apple users, unfortunately. No signs indicate the upcoming presence of web versions on iPads or iMacs. The Meta Engineer said that the Threads group has been running various experiments to integrate the web version with the Mac software internally, but the app is buggy, and they found they did not have time to fix it. He claimed that they had more important things to fix instead of fixing the application. We can expect the feature in the future.

It is important to note that Instagram Threads received popularity five days after the launch. The platform got more than 100 million users in just five days, which is more than the ChatGPTs record, which got within two months. But, because of the unavailability of some of the crucial features of the microblogging social network, some users deserted the platform.
