Qualcomm released a slew of new Snapdragon chipsets in recent weeks, including the Snapdragon 778G+, 480+, 680, and Snapdragon 690 chipsets. The Snapdragon 680 chipset is the only one that supports 4G networks. It has some intriguing specifications, and the smartphone has been added to the list of devices that will be released with the following chipset. The chipset also supports displays with up to a 90Hz refresh rate and an FHD+ pixel resolution. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wave 2 with MU-MIMO 11, Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, NavIC, GPS (L1/L5), QZSS, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C, and NFC connectivity. It also works with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology.

Update January 26: Redmi launched the Redmi Note 11 as the company’s latest budget smartphone for the global market. It is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 680 6nm Mobile Platform. The device comes in Star Blue, Twilight Blue and Graphite Gray colours. It should be noted Redmi Note 11 4G Chinese variant launched with MediaTek Helio G88 SoC.

Update January 4: Vivo Y21T is now official in India with Snapdragon 680, 6.58-inch 90Hz display, a large 5,000mAh battery, a 50MP triple camera module, and more. The company has launched Vivo Y32 in china with the same chipset.

Realme 9i

Realme 9i is rumoured to be powered by Snapdragon 680 chipset. The leaked images and renders along with the specifications have already been tipped on the internet. Talking more about the device, it will flaunt a 6.6-inches 90hz FHD+ IPS LCD Display. A triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP macro camera at last. There will be a 16MP front-facing camera. The device will gather power from a 5000mAh battery with the support of 33W fast wired charging. The device’s physical looks and dimensions will be similar to what we have seen in the realme GT Neo 2 5G smartphone.

Vivo Y21e

Last but not least, the Vivo Y21e is the next smartphone to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G processor. The model number V2140 has been discovered on the Geekbench certification. According to the listing, the chipset may have four CPU cores running at 1.9GHz and four more running at 2.4GHz. According to the code, the Qualcomm SoC also includes an Adreno 610 GPU. All of these hints point to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC powering the Vivo Y21e. The device is expected to have at least 3GB of RAM and to run Android 11 out of the box.
