We get the first look of the upcoming Nokia 1 smartphone, could feature polycarbonate back.
Nokia like the last year has a couple of devices this year in their pipeline. According to the reports and speculation, along with the successor of some previous year models, there will be a couple of new entries this year namely the Nokia 9, the Nokia 4, Nokia 7 Plus and the Nokia 1 which we reported earlier to be the first Nokia branded smartphone from HMD under the Android Go program.
A couple of new images of the Nokia 1 device has surfaced on the web via Chinese microblogging site Baidu giving the first impressions of the device especially the rear shell. It looks like the body will be made of plastic, and its design is inspired by the other mid-range Nokia smartphones. In the image the device sports a greyish colour which will likely to be one of the colour variants. The protruding oval segment which contains the rear camera and the flash is purely Nokia design. Now, these photos do not look like to be the same variants because one camera module seems covered in polycarbonate while the other seems to be covered in normal glass.
As per the rumours, the Nokia 1 2018 will be featuring an IPS LCD of HD(1280 x 720 pixels) and will offer 1 GB RAM along with 8 GB internal storage. From the leaked image today we can expect the display to be around 5.5 inches. It’s not sure what chipset will be powering the device, but it’s speculated that it will be either a Snapdragon 400-series chipset or a MediaTek one. Also, we are now sure that it will have single camera sensor on the rear. The device is expected to run on Android Oreo (Go Edition).
The Nokia 1 smartphone will be debuting in various markets like Russia around spring this year and will come with a price tag of around Rs 6,000 which will place it against the likes of Redmi 4A.
