Nokia 1 will be Adopting Android GO; May Launch in March 2018

In May, Google launched its Android Go to give Android experience in the low-budget segment. Android Go aims to provide connectivity in areas where mobile network coverage is scarce and mobile data is expensive. Many manufacturers, from Xiaomi to HTC, have tried Android Go.

As per a tweet posted by Eldar Murtazin (a Russian journalist), this time, HMD Global, the maker of Nokia smartphones, will adopt the Android One Program and include it on their Nokia 1 smartphone. The device will sport an HD (1280 x 720 pixels) offering 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage with expandable options.

The Nokia 1 smartphone will be debuting in various markets like Russia around the spring of next year and is expected to be priced at around Rs 6,000. Smartphone-wise, this will compete against Redmi 4A but will also get tough competition from Huawei’s Android One smartphone, rumored to launch next year.
