Tablet with AMD Ryzen 8000 Processor: Here’s What We Know

When we say tablets, we usually think of large-screen devices running smartphone processors and operating systems. However, a category of tablets also houses PC processors and runs PC operating systems. They are also usually known as mini PCs. This article will cover one such device that will likely be launched in the first half of next year.

Minisforum V3: Powered by AMD

Minisforum is a well-known name in the market for mini PCs. They have recently announced (via liliputing) their Minisforum V3 tablet or mini PC. It is going to feature the AMD Ryzen 8000 APUs. More specifically, it will feature the U series ones with the code name ‘Hawk Point.’ APUs, or Accelerated Processing Units, house both the CPU and GPU.

However, the APUs mentioned here will not be coming with AMD’s upcoming Zen-5 core architecture. Instead, they will feature the same Zen-4 core architecture present on existing recent AMD processors.

As for the graphics, the APU will have the upcoming RDNA 3.5 iGPU. It will also have the XDNA engine, which enhances performance when dealing with artificial intelligence-based tasks. Besides, like other Minisforum devices, the V3 tablet will run Windows 11.
