Samsung has done a great job when it comes to software for the past couple of years. Their latest Android skin, One UI 6, which is based on Android 14, delivers an excellent software experience.
It also brought a major overhaul in the design language of One UI, moving towards a more ‘modernized’ look. We also saw Galaxy AI, which uses artificial intelligence to enhance the user experience further. Now, it seems like Samsung is already preparing for the next generation of One UI.
One UI 7.0 Test Build Found by Leakster
A reputed leakster on X, formerly Twitter, recently shared his findings in a post. Apparently, the first internal test build of One UI 7.0 has surfaced online, which means Samsung has started the beta development phase of their software.
This version of One UI will be based on Android 15. For some additional context, Google released the first developer preview of Android 15 back in February this year, followed by the second one in March. The first public beta version came out in April, and the latest one available at the moment is Android 15 Beta 2.
Coming back to the topic, the build versions of the test build spotted include S928BXXU2BXE2/ S928BOXM2BXE2/ S928BXXU2BXD4. The ‘S928’ here indicates that these builds are being tested on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
As of right now, there is nothing else known about One UI 7.0. We have no official word from Samsung either. Samsung may introduce some new features while polishing the existing ones. We can also see an increased focus on Galaxy AI.
As for the release date, we can expect Samsung to open the One UI 7.0 Beta Program in the coming months. They could roll out the beta builds around September or October this year and the stable version around November.
Once again, this information is not official or confirmed and is based on speculations and calculated guesses, taking the current release schedule into consideration.
