Samsung is preparing its next major software release, One UI 9, for a broad range of Galaxy smartphones. Based on Samsung’s current software-support commitments, many Galaxy A series models are expected to move to One UI 9.
The list stretches from recent mid-range models such as the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A56 5G to more affordable phones including the Galaxy A07 and Galaxy A06 5G. Samsung has not published a final One UI 9 rollout schedule for every model, however, so eligibility should not be confused with immediate availability.

Why the list extends this far
Samsung’s software policy has pushed Android and One UI upgrades further down its mid-range lineup.
That longer support window lets several older A-series phones remain eligible for another major Android generation. The Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G are notable examples, while the Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A16 families show how far Samsung’s update coverage has extended into lower price segments.
Eligibility does not mean the update is available now
There is an important distinction between being eligible for One UI 9 and receiving the software.
Samsung’s official software-update documentation says update schedules can vary by model, country, and network operator, and that schedules can change during the rollout process.
Samsung has also not provided a final public One UI 9 schedule covering every Galaxy A model.
Owners should therefore expect the update to arrive in waves rather than on a single date.
What Galaxy A owners should expect
One UI 9 will be based on Android 17, bringing Samsung’s next-generation system-level software changes to eligible Galaxy devices. The exact feature set can differ between models, since hardware capabilities and regional software configurations affect which functions are available.
The rollout will also likely follow Samsung’s usual staged approach. Newer A-series phones should enter the update cycle before older models, while carrier and regional variants can receive firmware at different times.
