Last month, Lenovo-owned Motorola unveiled Moto G9 and Moto G9 Play. Now, Motorola will soon announce the third phone in its G9 lineup which will be called Moto G9 Plus. Recently, Moto G9 Plus has been spotted on Orange Slovakia website (via GSMArena) that gives us an almost-complete look at the device alongside a few key details.
Unfortunately, Slovakian carrier Orange listing did not reveal its chipset. If you were excited to know its chipset, you’ll be glad to know that the Moto G9 Plus’s processor has appeared on the Geekbench benchmark platform.
Today, we have spotted Motorola Moto G9 Plus device on Geekbench that reveals some of its details. The Geekbench listing shows motherboard as “Odessa” and also mentions octa-core processor with 1.80 GHz base frequency. As the motherboard name is new in Geekbench platform, these details are not sufficient to confirm the processor. So, we looked into source codes of the benchmark listing and found the unknown octa-core processor is actually Snapdragon 730G chipset that has “2 Core @ 2.2 GHz + 6 Core @ 1.80 GHz” CPU configuration and Adreno 618 GPU.
The Geekbench listing also reveals Moto G9 Plus will come with Android 10 OS and 4GB of RAM. The device has scored 550 points in the single-core test and 1766 points in the multi-core test.
Other specifications (as per Orange Slovakia website) include 6.81-inch FHD+ LTPS panel with 2400 x 1800 resolution, 4GB+128GB variant, 5,000 mAh battery (which we already confirmed), measures 169.98 x 78.1 x 9.69 mm, weighs 223 grams and a 64-megapixel primary camera. Connectivity options are Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, VoLTE, and dual SIM support (Nano-SIM).
As far as pricing is concerned, Orange Slovensko’s listing reveals that Motorola Moto G9 Plus will be priced at EUR 235 (roughly Rs. 20,300). The company, by the way, has given no official word about the same. Also, there is no word regarding Moto G9 Plus’s release timeline, but as the retailer listing is live now, an official announcement can’t be too far away.
