Earlier this week, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi confirmed that 30 smartphones would be getting the latest Xiaomi MIUI user 9.5 interfaces, and today, the update has started rolling out for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. This new update brings some minor design changes and bug fixes.
The update is marked as MUIU V9.5.4.0.NCFMIFA and weighs 425 MB in size. The update can be installed by just downloading and updating. If you haven’t received the update, users can check manually by going to Settings > System Update. Users are advised to back up their data before installing it to prevent any data loss incident.
The update contains some bug fixes on various apps and the launcher and includes the latest security patch of February 2018. There are new ringtones, lock and unlock sounds, and charging alert sounds, very similar to the MIUI 8.2 Global Stable ROM. You can visit the MIUI user thread to check the changelog for the update.
