MediaTek has finally launched the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor. The Dimensity 720 is a mid-range chip with 5G modem enabled. It is an octa-core ultra-small 7nm chip that provides premium experiences to the users. The combination of powerful CPU and GPU units make the Mediatek 720 SoC a powerful beast among its competitors. The company has mainly designed the processor to give the users a smooth gameplay experience without any lags and smooth graphics rendering capacity. MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC features
The Dimensity 720 processor is an octa-core CPU. It features four cores of ARM Cortex-A76 which gives a clock speed of 2GHz and four cores of ARM Cortex-A55 which also gives 2GHz clock speed. The CPU is 64-bit and the SoC is made up of 7nm process technology. This provides a responsive performance to the users.
Talking about the GPU unit, it has Mali-G57 class GPU which delivers better graphics rendering speed. The display supports upto 90Hz refresh rate. With this fluid display rate, it improves the everyday smartphone experiences like smoother text and webpage scrolling, as well as fluid movements in-app UIs and game animations. Moreover, the processor comes with MiraVision HDR10+ video streaming capabilities together with camera configuration options upto 64MP or 20+16MP dual cameras. As far as cameras are concerned, the V3 packs 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture along with 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. There is an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. It draws power from 5000 mAh (typical) battery. The battery can be topped up quickly with 18W fast charging tech.
Realme V5 5G
Realme has announced a cheapest 5G device under its V series dubbed as Realme V5 5G. We get Mediatek’s mid-range 5G chipset Dimensity 720 under the hood. The device is available in China with a starting price tag of CNY 1,499. There is no word regarding the Indian market release. It is backed by a 5,000 mAh large battery which can be topped up quickly with the help of 30W adapter. The fast charging technology charges its battery fully in 65 minutes. In terms of display, it sports a 90Hz LCD panel of 6.5-inch.
Oppo A72 5G
The Oppo A72 5G is equipped with the new MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor. The handset sports a 6.5-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It packs a triple camera setup with a 16MP+8MP+2MP units. The front camera is the 8MP sensor placed inside the punch-hole cutout. The device is backed by a 4040 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. It runs on Android 10 OS out of the box with the company’s ColorOS 7.2 skin. The pricing for the single memory variant (8GB+128GB) is the CNY 1,899 (approx. Rs 21,000).
