You could buy the iPhone 16 Pro in White, Black, Desert, or Natural. All the models used Titanium finishes, and the iPhone 17 Pro models will continue this trend. Apple releases one new color for the Pro model every year. For example, Natural Titanium was the defining color for the iPhone 15 Pro models. For the iPhone 14 Pro, it was deep purple, Sierra Blue for the iPhone 13 Pro, and so on.
With the iPhone 17 Pro, Apple might offer the Sky Blue color as an exclusive new color variant. As per a report from Majin Bu, Apple has manufactured prototype units with the new Sky Blue color. Internal sources were cited for the same.
While the iPhone 16 Pro’s Desert Titanium is a warm, golden-beige hue, which also has hints of Rose Gold, the iPhone 17 Pro’s color option is a softer, lighter blue.
The leak also states that the iPhone 17 Pro lineup will look similar to the Sky Blue M4 MacBook Air. The M4 MacBook Air’s color was extremely light and subtle, but also very premium. Assuming the leak turns out correct, this is the first time Apple is using a light blue color on the Pro models since the Sierra Blue of the iPhone 13 Pro models.
Sky Blue is a special color choice, since it symbolizes a shift from bold and metallic colors like Gray Titanium. It’s minimal and elegant, but remains open and playful in a way. Sky Blue symbolizes serenity.
The color also integrates very well with Apple’s existing colors on the MacBook Airs. As per the source, Apple has apparently made prototypes in various colors. Sky Blue is mostly the main color for this year’s models. The reports state that it’s a refinement over the Sierra Blue of the iPhone 13 Pro, with some brightness tweaks to make it look more appealing.
