Huawei Nova 6 SE May Launch Alongside Nova 6 5G on December 5

We have an upcoming launch event from Huawei and Nokia on December 5. On this date, Huawei plans to launch its Nova 6 5G Smartphone, but we have some recent leaks that suggest there might be another phone in its Nova 6 lineup. As per the leaks, the device’s name is the Huawei Nova 6 SE, much like last year’s Huawei Mate SE. We have some photos of this upcoming device, which reveal some key details of this upcoming device. The leak has come in from a reliable source, Teme (@RODENT950), on Twitter, so this phone is coming.

The suffix SE was first used by Apple in 2016, and it meant a toned-down version of a flagship. The Huawei had the Mate SE, which was a rebranded Honor 7X. Now, in the picture, it is clear that the Huawei Nova 6 SE will have a punch-hole display design, with a gold frame body and a glossy gradient back with a glass sandwich design. The rear cameras are placed at the top left corner of the device, with all four lenses placed properly inside a square-like surface. This is exactly what we saw on the iPhone 11 Pro, but with three cameras, not four. The flash is placed just below all these sensors. The megapixel count of the sensors is not yet known, though.

Moving on to the display tech, we will probably see an LCD panel here with a resolution of FHD+. This assumption of an LCD is because we see a side-mounted finder sensor in the leaks. Additionally, in terms of processing power, we will see the mid-tier Kirin 810 processor chip. It is a capable processor for sure, but not a flagship one.

However, the main highlight of Huawei Nova 6 SE will include 40W charging out of the box. 40W charging is something we see only on the premium Mate series devices. This might be the first non-flagship device from Huawei to come with a 40W wired charging.

Many other details of the device are not yet known. For now, we can say that it will be a 4G device and not a 5G device, unlike the Nova 6 5G. Both phones are expected to launch at an event in Wuhan on December 5.
