Samsung usually unveils three models in the S series at the beginning of January. This year, we had a surprise in the form of the Galaxy S25 Edge. There’s new information floating on the web that the S25 Edge will launch on 15th April. This is actually a bit earlier than what was anticipated.
As per earlier leaks, the device was speculated to launch around the next Galaxy Unpacked event, which would also unveil the Galaxy Z Fold and Flip 7 series. Other leaks were hovering around an April release date. However, the launch might actually happen on 15th April, which is barely two weeks away. According to exclusive information from Nieuwe Mobile (a Dutch source), the Galaxy S25 Edge might launch on the 15th, but the source doesn’t confirm immediate availability of the product. It’s most likely that 15th April is the day that pre-orders go live.
This is a particularly interesting launch since all the leaks had the specifications and design completely wrong until the device was actually revealed.
The source also provides leaks on the colours, storage variants, and model numbers. There are three colors on offer—silver, Black, and Blue. All models will apparently have 12GB RAM, so we don’t have an 8GB variant. This is a good move from Samsung. A higher amount of RAM is necessary for Galaxy AI and other on-device AI models to function properly without needing to send too much information to the cloud.

- 512GB Silver : SM-S937BZSG
- 256GB Black : SM-S937BZKD
- 512GB Black : SM-S937BZKG
- 256GB Blue : SM-S937BLBD
- 512GB Blue : SM-S937BLBG
Since they all have the same amount of RAM, you only have to pick between 256GB and 512 GB. It’s good to see Samsung phase out 128GB since there is too little internal storage for 2025 and beyond.
The leak also mentions new accessories for the S25 Edge. The accessories include two types of cases. One of them is a Silicone case, and the other is a Kindsuit case. The same cases were also released for the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and Ultra.

Regarding specifications, the leaks say it’ll feature a 200MP main camera (1/1.4″ from the S25 Ultra), and mostly the 50MP ultrawide from the S25 Ultra. There’s a chance they can reuse the 12MP sensor too. Since the entire lineup uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite, we can expect this to use it as well. The highlight selling point is the 5.84mm thickness, though it may feature a small 4000mAh battery to accomplish this.
We aren’t sure of the exact pricing of the Galaxy S25 Edge. In terms of positioning, it’ll sit above the S25 Plus, but below the S25 Ultra. We can expect between 1200 and 1400 Euros.
