Galaxy S24 Ultra: Titanium frame won’t add extra weight, says insider

Samsung Galaxy S series is one of the biggest launches of each year, dating back to 2010. The Galaxy S23 Ultra was unveiled early this year, bringing many minor but necessary improvements over the S22 Ultra. With this iteration, Samsung fixed the heating and battery life complaints and improved the cameras despite keeping similar hardware.

Now that the S23 Ultra is over 6 months old, we have started getting key information from Leaksters on the company’s next iteration.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to have a higher resolution telephoto camera, a brighter display, and the biggest noticeable change of all, a titanium frame.

Titanium frame seems to be the trend with the next generation of Flagships. The iPhone 15 Pro series is also leaked to possess one. Titanium is a material that feels much more premium compared to S23 Ultra’s Armor Aluminium frame.

Although Titanium feels more premium, it comes at the cost of weight. Still, according to Famous Tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), the S24 Ultra will supposedly weigh 1g less than the S23 Ultra with Armor Aluminium Frame. If this news is accurate, the S24 Ultra will feel much more premium than its predecessor, all while weighing similarly.

Although Titanium

When the iPhone 15 Pro and Galaxy S24 Ultra were initially leaked to have an Aluminium Frame, everyone expected them to gain weight. With this news confirmed, it’s safe to say one of those two will not.

For the display, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to get a brighter, upgraded screen. For cameras, it’s expected to have a new 50mp 3x optical zoom camera. The primary and secondary cameras are rumored to remain the same as the S23 Ultra.

Regarding Performance, we will get an Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 gen 3 variants. Both of which will be made on a 4 nm architecture. In the past, Samsung’s S series smartphones had two variants: one with the Exynos chipset for some regions and snapdragon for others. The S23 series broke this chain by giving Snapdragon chipsets in all regions. However, some leaks suggest that the Exynos variant may return in the next generation.

For the battery, The S24 Ultra is expected to pack a 5000 mAh unit with 45 watts for Charging. Both these specifications are the same as the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
