Samsung Galaxy A series offers some cool features at an affordable price to its users. Now its 2025 A-series lineup is reportedly in the pipeline, which could include the Galaxy A26, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A56.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A55, Galaxy A35, and Galaxy A25 in several markets. However, it did not launch the Galaxy A55 in the US. This time around Samsung might only bring the Galaxy A26 and Galaxy A36 in the US.
That said, Galaxy A36’s prototype has been spotted on the Geekbench’s website shedding light on some of its key details. The listing was first spotted by MySmartPrice. The phone carries the model number SM-A366U, which is the US variant of the A36. In other words, the Galaxy A36 5G is heading towards the US.
The phone scored 967 points in single-core while in multi-core tests, it achieved 2,750 points. Interestingly, the listing reveals its chipset as it mentioned an octa-core SoC with four cores at 2.40GHz and four cores at 1.80GHz, along with the Adreno 710 GPU. Although it does not mention the name of the chipset all inputs pointed at the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. This is in line with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3’s specs such as four Cortex A78 cores at 2.40GHz + four Cortex A55 cores at 1.80GHz.
That’s not all, the listing mentions it will have 6GB RAM and will run on the Android 15 operating system, which suggests One UI 7 out of the box.
In related news, we have already seen A36’s CAD-based render that reveals its look. What’s interesting about the design is that its camera bump on the rear side has been revamped. All three camera lenses are now aligned vertically inside the camera bump. There will no longer be three separate lenses.
We expect to learn more about the Galaxy A36 5G in the coming weeks.
