Nokia 3310 4G Unveiled Quietly; Gets Listed on Website

HMD Global unveiled the Nokia 3310 4G, which we have talked about for months. The device recently cleared the 3C certification with model number TA-1077. The device also made an appearance in TENAA. The company will target countries like India, where the 3G version of the device is unavailable.

The company made this model public without making a lot of fuss. Though they didn’t issue official statements, the 4G feature phone is listed on the company’s official Chinese website. As for the specifications, the Nokia 4G feature phone will be 117 x 52.4 x 13.35 mm and have a small 2.4-inch display. It is powered by an unknown processor with 512 MB internal storage, which is expandable to 64 GB using a micro SD card. The device will offer a 2 MP rear camera and an LED flash. It will run on Yun OS and be backed by a 1200 mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, FM Radio and more. Also, they can use the device as a portable hotspot connection and share the internet connection with other devices.

As for the pricing, there is no official word yet, but it will be priced similarly to the Reliance JioPhone, which costs around Rs 1500. The Nokia 3310 4G will likely be available at China Mobile brick-and-mortar stores from the first week of February, after which we expect the company to launch the device in other markets like the United States and India in spring( late February- early March). The device is also expected to appear at MWC 2018 next month. This launch will compete with the other 4G devices launched by other manufacturers, such as Karbonn, Intex, and Micromax, by joining hands with telecom operators like Airtel and Vodafone.
