As we all know, OnePlus is all set to launch its first-ever mid-range smartphone, OnePlus Nord, on July 21. Now, it looks like OnePlus has decided to bring another mid-range 5G phone, which will be an even more affordable 5G device than the upcoming OnePlus Nord. This new device, spotted on the Geekbench website recently, is rumored to be the OnePlus Nord Lite.
On the Geekbench listing, the device is tagged under the name “OnePlus BE2028“. The listing shows that the device will run on 6GB of RAM and come with a pre-installed Android 10 operating system. As for the processor, it is powered by Snapdragon 690 SoC, and we are sure about it because the CPU details indicate that it will come with Adreno 619, which is found only in 690 chipsets.
Based on the chipset characteristic, we can flaunt some of the features of the device. The device may come with a Full HD+ display with a refresh rate of a minimum of 90Hz. It is justified since, in the previous year, the company mentioned that all of their upcoming smartphones will have higher refresh rates display, and this will also probably apply to the mid-range devices. The chipset further supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. Moreover, the Snapdragon 690 is an 8nm chipset with 2x Kryo 560 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 cores at 1.7GHz. The chipset was announced last month and is a 5G chipset.
For the name of the device, we just presume it may be called OnePlus Nord Lite since there is no official confirmation from the company. We made that statement based on the fact that, as per the company, the Nord is a new lineup for mid-range smartphones. The phone that is not flagship will come under the Nord lineup. And for the price, the alleged Nord Lite may be priced under the Rs 20,000 segment. These are all just assumptions. We can’t say anything until further notice from the company.
