As we all know OnePlus is all set to launch its first-ever mid-range smartphone known as OnePlus Nord on July 21. Now, it looks OnePlus has decided to bring another mid-range 5G phone which will be even more affordable 5G device than upcoming OnePlus Nord. This new device which was spotted on the Geekbench website recently is rumoured to be the OnePlus Nord Lite.
On the Geekbench listing, the device is tagged under the name “OnePlus BE2028“. The listing shows that the device will run on 6GB of RAM and will come with pre-installed Android 10 operating system. And for the processor, it is powered by Snapdragon 690 SoC and we are sure about it because the CPU details indicate that it will come with Adreno 619 which is found only in 690 chipsets.
Based on the chipset characteristic, we can flaunt some of the features for the device. The device may come with a FullHD+ display with a refresh rate of a minimum of 90Hz. It is justified since, in the previous year, the company mentions that all of their upcoming smartphones will have higher refresh rates display and this will also probably apply for the mid-range devices. The chipset further supports Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. Moreover, Snapdragon 690 is an 8nm chipset with 2x Kryo 560 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 cores at 1.7GHz. The chipset was announced in the previous month and is a 5G chipset.
For the name of the device, we just presume it may be called OnePlus Nord Lite since there is no official confirmation from the company. We made that statement based on the fact that as per the company, the Nord is a new lineup for the mid-range smartphones. The phone that is not flagships will come under the Nord lineup. And for the price, the alleged Nord Lite may be priced under Rs 20,000 segment. These are all just assumptions. We can’t say anything surely until further notice from the company.
