Vivo will launch two new Y-series smartphones in India, Vivo Y12 and Vivo Y15. Both smartphones will launch in India later this month. However, before its launch, we spotted the Vivo Y15 on the official website with high-res renders, full specifications, and pricing details.
Update 28/5/2019: Vivo Y15 is now official! Currently, the smartphone is out of stock, but soon it will be available for sale in India at Rs 13,990 (12% Off/ MRP: Rs.15,990).
Vivo Y15 Price in India & Specifications
As per the official listing, Vivo Y15 will be released in India with a price tag of Rs. 15,990. The smartphone will be available in Aqua Blue and Burgundy Red color options.
Now, let’s discuss the specifications of Vivo Y15. The Vivo Y15 runs on MediaTek Helio P22 Octa-Core processor along with 4GB RAM and 64GB of ROM. Also, the phone supports a microSD card for further expansion of storage. Talking about the display of the device, it has a 6.35-inch Halo FullView IPS display with 720×1544 pixel resolution. The 89% screen-to-body ratio of this device is not that impressive, but it’s okay at this price point.
Coming to the camera department of the device it has a triple rear camera setup and a solo front-facing camera. You will find a 13+8+2 MP rear camera setup with a 16MP front-facing camera on Vivo Y15. Further, in the software department of the camera it has AI Beauty mode, Portrait mode, and AI wide-angle mode.
Talking about the OS of the smartphone, it runs on Funtouch OS 9 on top of Android Pie.
Vivo Y15 has a 5000mAh non-removable battery. For connectivity, it has GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 2.0 USB port.
