Samsung is now rolling out April 2022 security update

Samsung has a pretty good reputation when it comes to providing updates and security patches on time. Security updates make the device less vulnerable to security and privacy risks.

Samsung recently released the One UI 4.1 update with Android 12 for many Galaxy phones and tabs. Now it has started releasing the April 2022 security patch to its smartphones. This will fix several privacy and security vulnerabilities with the security patch.

Samsung claims that they have fixed 33 vulnerabilities in their Galaxy smartphones and tabs along with Google patches. These include vulnerabilities related to improper access controls in S Secure, Samsung Contacts app, Knox Manage, One UI Home, Samsung DeX Home, etc.

This update will be rolled out to all eligible devices. Many devices have already received the update while the remaining will be receiving the update in the coming days or weeks. You can also check for the software update by navigating to Settings> Software update> Download and install. If the update is not yet available for your device then you will not see the “Download and install” button.
