Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and Watch 9 pricing leaks show broad increases

Samsung’s next wave of foldables and smartwatches is expected to arrive in just over two weeks. Ahead of that launch, retailer-sourced pricing for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 lineup, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and Galaxy Watch 9 series has surfaced, outlining a clear trend.

Prices are going up. In some cases, sharply.

The leaked European pricing suggests Samsung is raising costs across nearly every tier, with higher-storage variants seeing the steepest increases. The increases come as component constraints, particularly around storage, continue to affect device pricing globally.

Fold 8 Ultra pushes higher at the top end

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra remains Samsung’s flagship foldable, effectively replacing last year’s top-tier model with a new name. The base 256GB version is listed at €2,199, up €100 from its predecessor.

That increase grows with storage.
The 512GB model climbs to €2,399, a €180 jump, while the 1TB variant reaches €2,799—€280 more than before.

This widening gap between storage tiers stands out. Samsung appears to be pushing buyers toward higher-margin premium configurations rather than aggressively raising entry pricing.

A new Fold sits just below

Alongside the Ultra, Samsung is introducing a standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 with a wider form factor. This model starts at €1,999 for 256GB, with 512GB and 1TB options priced at €2,199 and €2,599, respectively.

It undercuts the Ultra, but not by much.

The lower price is tied to hardware trade-offs. The standard Fold 8 reportedly drops features like a dedicated zoom camera, positioning it closer to a “lite flagship” than a direct Ultra alternative.

Flip 8 follows the same pattern

The clamshell Galaxy Z Flip 8 also sees price increases. The 256GB model is listed at €1,299, up €100, while the 512GB version jumps to €1,499, an increase of €180.

There’s still no 1TB option.

The pricing keeps the Flip aligned with premium slab flagships rather than serving as an accessible entry into foldables.

Smartwatches edge upward, too

Samsung’s wearables aren’t exempt.

The Galaxy Watch 9 starts at €409 for the 40mm Bluetooth model, up by €40. The 44mm version comes in at €439. LTE variants add roughly €30–€50, depending on size.

At the top end, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is listed at €749, €50 higher than its predecessor. It remains LTE-only.

What the numbers suggest

Samsung isn’t raising prices uniformly. Entry points see moderate increases, while higher storage tiers absorb the biggest jumps. That strategy keeps headline prices somewhat stable while lifting average selling prices.

It also reflects a broader shift in the foldables category. These devices are no longer positioned as experimental hardware. They’re priced like established flagships, and in some cases, beyond them.

The question now is whether buyers will follow. With the base Fold 8 starting at €1,999 and the Ultra nearing €2,800 at the high end, Samsung is testing how far the premium foldable segment can stretch—especially as competition from Chinese brands continues to push prices in the opposite direction.
