Samsung is all set to launch the next generation of their premium flagships, the Galaxy S23 series. You can expect to see the launch early next year. This post will discuss everything we know about the series’s highest-end device, as mentioned earlier, the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Early this year, Samsung decided to ditch its Note series. But to everyone’s surprise, they merged the Note with the S22 Ultra. And while it was a peculiar move, it did not flop, as the sales suggest. The annual projected sales for the device are around 11 million units, according to 9to5Google. This makes it the most successful Android smartphone this year. And with the Galaxy S23 Ultra coming up soon, we hope to see it continue its predecessor’s legacy.
Tipster Ice Universe on Twitter said that the S23 Ultra would be almost the same as the Galaxy S22 Ultra in design (maintain the same camera design). He also compared the bezel dimensions of both devices. You can see the difference in the below tweet.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra CAD renders have also surfaced online, courtesy of OnLeaks and Smartprix. The screen will be slightly flatter, and the top and bottom bezels will be even thinner. Also, the camera module will be slightly larger than the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The S23 Ultra’s dimension is 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.8mm. On the other hand, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is measured at 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9mm.
Based on the leaks by Ice Universe on Twitter, Samsung will use a new 200 MP sensor (0.6μm, 1/1.3″, F1.7) for its primary camera. It could be the ISOCELL HP2 sensor. This is new since Samsung has stuck to 108 MP sensors for the past few years.
Do not believe any imaginary news, everything is subject to me.
100% confirmed, S23 Ultra main camera:

The S23 Ultra 200MP sensor is an unreleased HP2, almost 100% sure.

Besides the primary camera, Samsung will probably stick with the same sensors for the rest.
The display on the Galaxy S22 Ultra is already absolutely gorgeous, so it is no surprise that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will also have the same. That is a 6.8-inch 3088×1440 panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The size of the Galaxy S23 Ultra is almost unchanged from that of the S22 Ultra, with only an increase of 0.1~0.2mm, 5000mAh, 8.9mm thickness, and still a 6.8-inch 3088×1440 screen.
As long as the Snapdragon 8Gen2 + One UI 5.1 is excellent, the appearance can remain the same.— ICE UNIVERSE (@UniverseIce) August 21, 2022
As the leaks suggest, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen2. The Snapdragon 8+Gen1 significantly improved from the 8 Gen1 in actual life usage, and we hope the 8 Gen2 further refines the performance. Besides, several reports have shown that Samsung might now ditch the Exynos variant.
I'm really looking forward to how European consumers will feel after experiencing the Galaxy S23 Ultra with Snapdragon 8Gen2 + One UI 5.1, they may say: This is what I want Flagship phone experience! Thankfully I finally got rid of Exynos.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra will have a 5000 mAh battery, probably supporting only up to 25W charging, according to the 3C certification that the device just passed recently.
It is pretty much given that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will launch with One UI 5.1, which is based on Android 13.
If we look at the spec sheet, the Galaxy S23 Ultra does not seem to be a significant upgrade over the Galaxy S22 Ultra. However, we can expect it to provide a relatively better experience.
Alright, so this is it. Everything about the Galaxy S23 Ultra is out in one post. Thanks for reading! Stay tuned.
