The video reveals the smartphone will sport an infinity display, the first on a J-series. The bezel-less display sports sharp corners, not rounded ones like the Galaxy A8, and will somewhat be less elegant or sharp like the ones in the S-series and A-series. It will sport a plastic body with a rectangular fingerprint sensor in the rear.
The Galaxy J6 appeared on GeekBench with model number SM-J600F two months ago, where it reveals the specs. It will feature a 5.6-inch AMOLED infinity Display with a resolution of HD+ (1480 x 720 pixels). It will be powered by an Octa-core Exynos 7870 chipset with 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB RAM. In the optics department, the device will sport a 13 MP camera in the rear while offering an 8 MP on the front. Among other features, a fingerprint sensor, LTE CaT.5, dual SIM, Samsung Experience 9.0 with Android 8.0 Oreo, and a 3,000 mAh battery will be included. Additional features include S bike mode and Ultra data saving features.
It’s unclear whether the company will also launch the A-series or other J-series phones. Rumors point to a Galaxy A6, Galaxy A6+, and Galaxy J4 launch on May 21, priced between Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000. As for the Galaxy J6, the smartphone is speculated to be priced at 208$ and Rs 245$ for the 3 GB RAM and the 4GB RAM variants respectively.
