Samsung brings Galaxy A27 5G to the Czech Republic with long-term software support

Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy A27 5G in the Czech Republic, expanding its mid-range lineup with a device that emphasizes display quality, battery life, and extended software support.

The Galaxy A series continues to anchor Samsung’s presence in the European mid-range segment. With the A27 5G, the company is focusing less on experimental features and more on refining core specifications that matter for day-to-day use.

Hardware and display take priority

The Galaxy A27 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 800 nits. That aligns it with Samsung’s broader A-series strategy, where high refresh rates and AMOLED panels are now standard even at lower tiers.

Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with either 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB, with UFS 3.1, and expansion via a hybrid microSD slot up to 2TB.

Samsung also equips the phone with a 5,000mAh battery and 25W wired charging. The capacity is typical for the segment, but combined with the relatively efficient chipset and AMOLED panel, it should translate to consistent all-day usage for most users.

Camera setup stays practical

The Galaxy A27 5G features a triple rear camera system, with a 50-megapixel main sensor and optical image stabilization. It is supported by a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.

On the front, Samsung includes a 12-megapixel selfie camera.

Video recording is capped at 4K resolution at 30 frames per second, which keeps it competitive with similarly priced devices.

Design, durability, and software commitment

Samsung offers the Galaxy A27 5G in multiple color options, including Light Pink, Light Green, Blue, and Black. The device measures 162.4 x 78.2 x 7.8mm and weighs 200g, keeping it within the typical range for large-screen mid-range phones.

Durability features include Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front and an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. Other hardware elements include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual-SIM 5G support, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB Type-C connectivity.

The software policy stands out. The Galaxy A27 5G ships with Android 16 and One UI 8.5, and Samsung commits to six years of OS and security updates.

Where it fits in Samsung’s lineup

The Galaxy A27 5G sits between entry-level A-series devices and the more premium A5x models, offering a mix of modern internals and long-term usability rather than pushing raw performance boundaries.

That extended update promise could end up being the defining factor. In a segment where hardware differences are narrowing, software longevity is starting to carry more weight—especially for buyers planning to hold onto a device for four or five years.
