The leaks and rumors about the upcoming iPhone SE 4 have long surfaced among tech enthusiasts. Previously, it was considered to look similar to the iPhone X series. Recently, a leak suggested that it looks identical to the iPhone 12 or 13 series.
This time, the most recent one suggests that the fourth generation iPhone SE design will be based on the iPhone 14 looks. According to MacRumors, the phone will feature Face ID and USB Type-C used in the latest iPhone 15 Pro series.
As the new iPhone SE design is based on the iPhone 14, we expect a 6.1-inch display. From the front, the phone may feature a notch consisting of TrueDepth Camera and Face ID recognition.
MacRumors says the smartphone may weigh around 165 grams, which can be considered lighter. For comparison, the iPhone 14 weighs about 172 grams. The iPhone 14 is also 7.8mm thin so we can expect a similar form factor to the upcoming iPhone SE.
Compared with the iPhone SE 3, the height, width, and thickness dimensions were 138.4mm, 67.3mm, and 7.3mm, respectively. However, these parameters will rise as the next-generation model design is based on the current iPhones.
For this, let’s compare the iPhone 14 dimensions. The smartphone is 146.7mm tall in height, 71.5mm in width, and 7.8mm thick. As per leaks, the upcoming iPhone SE 4 may weigh 165 grams, closer to current iPhones. We can expect nearly similar dimensions in the forthcoming device as well.
Talking about the optics, this might be the place where Apple can do cost-cutting. This can also create a big difference between the iPhone SE and iPhone number series regarding specifications and pricing. The iPhone SE fourth generation is said to have a 48MP single rear camera. To compare, it is the same sensor used in the recent regular iPhone 15 variant.
Apart from this, there are several other changes that the upcoming iPhone SE is expected to bring, as compared to its predecessors. The new Action Button, used in the iPhone 15 Pro models, is also likely in this smartphone.
The iPhone SE 4 looks like a significant upgrade over the past three generations, especially with the third one. For comparison, the predecessor features a 4.7-inch display with giant bezels and a physical Touch ID. So, this time, the iPhone looks promising.
However, we are not sure about the pricing. But given the specifications, similar to the current iPhone number series and features like Action Button, USB Type-C, and more, we are also expecting a significant price jump. We will keep updating this post based on the latest developments, so be connected here.
