iPadOS 17 may resemble iOS 17 and iOS 16: Report

Last year, Apple introduced major changes in its software’s design language with the launch of iOS 16. We saw lock screen customizations, too, which was probably the most significant change. But, the iPad lineup did not get these upgrades, which was a bummer for many.

However, as leaks suggest, Apple will reportedly bring many features and customization options of iOS 16 and iOS 17 to iPadOS 17. One of these would be a revamped lock screen.

The iPad’s software (iPadOS 16) does not have many lock screen customization options on iOS. Much of the lock screen is empty and cannot be edited. Simply put, it looks like a waste of space with no customization options.

But iPadOS 17 will reportedly bring all those fancy personalization menus and features currently available on iOS 16, along with more features of iOS 17. These include lock screen widgets, clock style and position customization, lock screens associated with different focus modes, and photo tints and styles. It will also have a depth effect on the wallpaper, wallpaper library, and wallpaper types like Photo Shuffle, Weather, and Emoji.

In addition to all of this, we may also see an option to share lock screen designs across devices and some new font options for the lock screen.

This will, of course, be a major upgrade for the iPad’s software. It will allow users to personalize their devices to suit their needs better than ever.

Apple will reveal iPadOS 17 and iOS 17 at the World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) this year on June 5. Apple’s biggest event is held each year, where they showcase their software’s latest features and many other things. Apple may even announce an Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality headset this year at the WWDC.
