Apple has seeded the iOS 26.2 beta 3 release to developers, marking one of the final pre-public builds ahead of the full rollout. This latest update refines UI elements, adds new sharing capabilities and multitasking tools, and includes under-the-hood bug fixes and performance enhancements. For developers and early adopters running the developer profile, the build number is 23C5044b for iOS 26.2 beta 3.
What’s new in iOS 26.2 Beta 3
With the iOS 26.2 beta 3 release, Apple brings several noticeable updates:
- A new one-time access code feature for AirDrop—you can share files temporarily with someone not in your contacts for up to 30 days.
- UI refinements under the Liquid Glass design language: the Measure app’s level tool shows improved visuals, and the lock-screen slider has better translucency handling.
- On the iPad side (via iPadOS 26.2 beta 3), dragging apps into Slide Over or Split View is easier again, restoring a multitasking workflow.
- Region-specific code changes indicate that in Japan, users may be able to replace Siri with a different voice assistant when holding the Side Button.
- As always, this beta also includes bug fixes, performance refinements, and the usual developer SDK updates (iOS & iPadOS 26.2 SDK) for testing compatibility.
Note: This build is aimed at developers or advanced testers, and installing it on a main device may carry the risk of instability. Always back up your device before proceeding.
