Chinese smartphone manufacturer today announced that it would be rolling out the EMUI 8.0 built on top of Android 8.0 Oreo for the Huawei Youth Nova Edition. The smartphone, a Chinese counterpart of the Huawei P10 Lite was launched last year in March and came pre-loaded with EMUI based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Users can apply the new update by following the steps: Mobile Apps > Member Service > Service > Upgrade early adopters. It is advised that users back up their data to prevent any data loss incident. They should also keep at least 2GB of free space and at least have 50% of battery backup.

The update is not just a feature update but a major one. The new EMUI 8.0 smartphone comes with machine learning base with cool features like Awareness, User Behaviour, Intelligent Resource Allocation and more. Moreover, it also contains additional perks like low memory management, fast boot time, fast app loading and quick file sharing abilities. It’s likely to include functional features like one hand operation navigation dock, private space optimisation, access to recently deleted items and dynamic wallpaper. Along with these, the device will get the benefits of the Android 8.0 Oreo-like notification dots, autofill passwords, Picture-in-Picture, and the latest security patch.
As from EMUI part, the settings menu has been changed and has Ride mode, new Gallery new navigation dock, and controllable navigation buttons. The battery backup time should also significantly increase as the new Android Oreo platform increases the restrictions in the background. Users are also getting 60 new emojis as an additional Oreo perk.
