Back in May 2024, Google launched its Pixel 8a as a more affordable option in the world of Pixel phones. Now, the Mountain View giant is reportedly planning to launch its successor (?), the Pixel 9a.
From the rumor mill, we already know its entire specs sheet. The specs appear quite impressive compared to the predecessor, the Pixel 8a. Besides, a launch window of mid-March 2025 for Pixel 9a was also tipped a few months ago, suggesting it will arrive slightly ahead of its predecessor.
Since the launch is approaching, now the Pixel 9a’s price in the US, pre-order and exact release date have surfaced online.
Speaking of its pricing, Androidheadlines has claimed that the Pixel 9a will be priced at $499 in the US for the 128GB model while the 256GB model will cost $599. In comparison, the pricing for the 128GB model is similar to last year’s Pixel 8a with the same configuration. That said, the 256GB model is $40 more expensive.
As a result, the price difference between the models is $100, which is a similar pricing strategy to last year’s Pixel 9 series.
As far as the release date is concerned, according to Androidheadlines, the Pixel 9a will ship and be available in stores on March 26, 2025. In other words, the Pixel 9a’s release date is March 26, 2025. The report also says that its pre-order will start on March 19, 2025, which is exactly one week before the release date.
Bear in mind, as with all leaks, no matter how credible the source is, you should take unofficial information with a grain of salt.
