The Galaxy S25 FE will slot in above the Galaxy A56, but below the base S25. It won’t offer the compact form factor of the base S25, but Samsung will give it a larger battery. The launch date of this has now leaked online.

As per a Korean source, FN News, the S25 FE could launch as early as next month. This is a month and a half earlier than the previous model. Since Samsung has no major releases towards the end of the year, this model will fill the gap. At the start, we have the main S lineup. In the middle of the year, Samsung usually launches the Z series of devices. However, there’s nothing major at the end of the year apart from a few budget models.

In the Samsung Q2 2025 earnings call, Samsung has officially confirmed that the S25 FE model will launch a bit earlier this year. We’re expecting the phone to go on sale before October. Samsung is not done with the year- the company has an XR headset in the works, along with the Galaxy Tab S11 series. If the rumors are true, Samsung could also launch a tri-fold smartphone this year.

At the earnings call, Samsung was very vague about the release. However, the new report also includes a date, which is September 19th, 2025. That’s a full week earlier than the S24 FE. It’s not exactly a very major shift in the timelines, but the device will still go on sale in October. We’re not sure whether the report is mentioning the date of the announcement or the date of online sales.

We can expect a similar $699 price tag for the S25 FE. There are no major upgrades, so an increase in price is not exactly justified, unless there’s geopolitical trouble causing an increase in price. In Korea, it could cost under 1 Million KRW, which comes out to 721$.

Regarding the specifications of the device, we’re expecting the Exynos 2400 chipset. It’s disappointing since the Exynos 2500 is already out, and the Exynos 2400 is essentially the same chipset as the Exynos 2400e with minor and negligible tweaks. We can expect a 6.7″ 120Hz AMOLED screen and Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Unfortunately, Samsung isn’t updating the camera system either. The same 50MP 1/1.56″ main sensor with an f/1.8 lens (OIS), 12MP ultrawide, and an 8MP f/2.4 3X telephoto camera is what the leaks say. Samsung will probably upgrade the selfies to the tried-and-tested 12MP selfie camera.

Most likely, the battery will have a 4500mAh capacity, with 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The usual IP68 water and dust resistance ratings are also expected, with minor cosmetic adjustments to make it a little lighter and slimmer. It will also run One UI 8 based on Android 16 out of the box.
