Galaxy S24+ and S24 Ultra to Get Slightly Bigger Batteries: Report

Samsung’s S series lineup is Samsung’s one of the biggest launches of every year and has been this way since 2010, which means there is always a lot of hype and, indeed, many leaks before the launch.

Samsung introduced the Galaxy S23 series earlier this year, which was pretty well received due to many positive changes and community feedback being worked upon by the brand.

As it’s been a few months since the launch of the S23 series, Samsung has actively started working on the S24 series, and a few leaks about the battery sizes have come out.

According to famous tipster Ice Universe, the battery capacities of S24+ and S24 Ultra have been listed on Dekra certification. The battery listing details of S24+ and S24 Ultra show increased battery capacity, which is excellent news for the customers.

The Galaxy S24+ is rumored to come with a rated capacity of 4,755 mAh, and on the other hand, the higher-end Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to have a rated capacity of 4,855 mAh. From the leaks, it seems that the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra will incorporate batteries with typical capacities of 4,900 mAh and 5,000 mAh, respectively.

Regarding cameras, the S24 Ultra is expected to resemble its predecessor, the S23 Ultra. This means it will have a 200MP Samsung HM2 primary camera followed by a 12MP Sony IMX 564 Ultra wide sensor, a 12MP Sony IMX 754 periscope sensor with 3x optical zoom, and lastly, another 12MP Sony IMX 754+ sensor with 10x optical zoom, which is a slight upgrade over the predecessor’s 10MP sensors. There are some rumors of an improvement to the hardware of the 3X sensor, but take this with a pinch of salt.

For the display, the S24 Ultra will likely feature a 144Hz QHD+ AMOLED display. This means it will be the first time a Samsung phone will have a 144Hz display—the base S24 and S24+ are rumored to have LTPO technology.

Regarding Performance, the US variant of S24+ has been Spotted on Geekbench with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but there are rumors that a select few markets will get the Exynos 2400 variant. It’s also likely that the Snapdragon S24 series will get a special 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, a slightly overclocked version of the standard 8 Gen 3. The S23 series also had a similar case with the 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy.

So, for now, these were all the rumors and leaks that have come out for the Galaxy S24 series; more will be coming out as we move closer to their launch early next year.
