Blackberry previously announced its decision to abandon its own Blackberry OS and adopt the Android OS. Blackberry has launched several Android smartphones, like Blackberry Motion, Blackberry Priv, and Blackberry KEYone.
Recently, a user leaked a set of conceptual pictures of BlackBerry’s new phone- the BlackBerry Vanadium, on the Chinese media platform Weibo. The smartphone adopts a QWERTY keyboard placed in a slanting V shape. The device has a diamond-shaped fingerprint reader on the front and a micro USB at the bottom.

The Blackberry Vanadium sports metal on the middle framework and features Alcantara material that the new Surface Laptop has on the back and the Surface keyboard. The design looks good and bold. The bottom part has an excellent sharp cut that appeals to the eye. In the shown images, it has blue, rose red, and grey color variants. The Vanadium features a design akin to the dock column, and all the messages will be shown at the screen’s bottom instead of the top.
The smartphone is speculated to have a 4.3-inch display and an 18 MP OIS camera. But the Vanadium will be running on Blackberry OS and not Android. This factor may lead to its lower sales.
