ASUS GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER TUF Appears on Retailer Listing

ASUS GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER TUF Appears on Retailer Listing

A few weeks ago, leaks and rumors about NVIDIA preparing to launch a handful of new graphics cards had started doing rounds on the internet. Now, it seems like some of that might be true.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super Listed Online

An online retailer recently listed the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super on their site. This is one of the three graphics cards we saw rumors about back in November. The listing is of ASUS’s RTX 4070 Super, which will come under ASUS’s TUF series.

The product code in the listing matches the leaks shared online. These leaks also make it clear that ASUS will launch two versions of this graphics card. One will be the standard one, and the other will be overclocked. Some leakers also got hold of product images of the overclocked version of this GPU from ASUS.

Specifications

Although the retailer has not listed the specifications, we got to look at them in the earlier leaks. We have given a recap of these specifications below.

  • Total Board Power, or TBP: 220W
  • Graphics memory: 192-bit GDDR6X (12GB)
  • Number of cores: 7168
  • Level 2, or L2, cache: 48MB
  • Architecture: Ada Lovelace (TSMC 4N process)
  • Stock Keeping Unit, or SKU: AD104

A more exciting upgrade we will see on the RTX 4070 Super is the adoption of the 12vHPWR power connector. It is a 16-pin power connector that can deliver up to 600W of power. To give you some context, this is four times the power delivery of 8-pin connectors, which max out at 150W. The presence of this new connector was confirmed via leaked product images.

Launch Details and Pricing

The expected price bracket for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super is around $599, give or take $50. The listing, however, shows a ridiculously high price tag, around ten times the expected price. That could be because the graphics card has not been launched yet.

NVIDIA is reportedly set to announce this GPU, along with other Super series GPUs, on the 8th of January 2024. This will take place at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024. We will probably see the release a week or so later. And from around the end of the month, people will likely be able to avail themselves from retailers.
