Both the OnePlus 7 and 7T lineups are done for 2019. Now, the importance shifts to the next launch in the first or second quarter of 2020. Yes, we are talking about the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. The latest leak has come in recently, saying that an upcoming OnePlus device will feature a 120Hz refresh rate display. It will be the Oneplus 8 Pro model. The standard model will most likely feature a 90Hz, as seen in this year’s OnePlus launches.
This leak came in from a tipster named Max J., who just posted a picture with 120Hz written on it. The caption for this post read ‘Be a “Pro”‘. Initially, many assumed that he was referring to the Samsung Galaxy S11. But later, Max confirmed that the leak was about OnePlus and not Samsung.

Now, there are not many 120Hz display smartphones out there. The only one available in the Indian market right now is the Asus ROG Phone 2, which is also at a competitive price tag. Other than that, all the other high-end devices either feature a normal 60Hz display or a bit faster 90Hz display.
Now, as for the launch, we will probably see OnePlus launching the next two devices in the second quarter of next year. This coincides perfectly with last year’s OnePlus 7 May launch. Moreover, some additional details about this device have come to light in recent renders via 91Mobile. These renders suggest a Samsung-like punch-hole display and quad cameras at the back in a vertical alignment (including a 3D ToF sensor).
As for the display size, it is said to be 6.65 inches for the OnePlus 8 Pro and 6.5 inches for the OnePus 8. The phone will measure 165.3 x 74.4 x 8.8mm in size. The Alert Slider and Power buttons are placed on the right edge, while the Volume button is placed on the left edge of the device.
