Now, that is not a matter of debate anymore. That is because Microsoft has officially confirmed it to be an update for Windows 11, and the version will be updated to Windows 11 24H2.

Microsoft Confirms Windows 11 24H2 Will be Next Major Update

Microsoft published release notes for an Insider preview build of Windows 11 last week. The build here is 26052, to be specific, and is accessible by Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev channels. In these notes, the tech giant announced Windows 11 24H2.

Under the General section of the Changes and Improvements, they mentioned that the Windows 11 version will be updated to 24H2 for all the builds starting with Build 26XXX. Also, if you want to check your Windows version, press the Windows button and the R key together. Once the Run dialogue box appears, type in ‘winver’ and hit Enter.

When Will This Update Arrive and What to Expect From It?

As for the details of the 24H2 update, we do not have the complete changelog. However, users can expect a few features with this update.
